Morena Silva de Vaz Setta Baccarin is a Brazilian-born actress. She portrays Mickey Fox on the CBS original drama, Fire Country.
Biography[]
Born 1979, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Baccarin is the daughter of actress Vera Setta and journalist Fernando Baccarin. During her adolescence, she attended the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music, Art, and Performing Arts before entering the theater program at the Juilliard School.
In 2001, Baccarin landed her first professional acting role in the dramedy Persume. In 2002, she starred as Inara Serra in the science fiction drama Firefly. From 2009-2011, Baccarin portrayed Anna in the ABC re-imagining V. In 2011, she joined the cast of the Showtime thriller Homeland as Jessica Brody, for which she was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series at the 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards. Additionally, she is well known for her role as Dr. Leslie Thompkins in the Fox DC drama Gotham.
In 2016, Baccarin appeared in the hit Marvel film Deadpool as Vanessa Carlysle. She later reprised her role in the 2018 sequel Deadpool 2, before landing her own show on NBC, titled The Endgame. Unfortunately, the series was canceled after a single season.
